Coppertone Clearly Sheer: The new way I enjoy the sun!

As a member of BzzAgent I receive free products and coupons, to test in exchange of my opinion and other activities that are part of the campaigns I participate in. In this occasion, I will be sharing with you my experience with Coppertone Clearly Sheer.
Even though I like to go to the beach and take a nice suntan, usually I didn't go often because I really disliked having to use sunblock. Most of the sunblocks I have tried out have a strong smell that annoys me somehow, and adding to that, I couldn't deal with the plaster like feeling these sunblocks left on my skin. Thanks to BzzAgent and the opportunity they gave me by letting me join this campaign, my perception of what a day at the beach is has changed drastically.

I received my BzzKit by the second week of May. And since it was summer already, I decided to start going to the beach a few times a week (well when the weather allowed me since it rains a lot here) and that's when my new journey started. The first thing that caught my attention about Coppertone Clearly Sheer, was the gentle fresh smell it has. Nothing that is too overwhelming and that at the same time is enjoyable.

The next feature that I completely loved was that is so lightly formulated, that I could barely feel the sunblock on my skin. After it dries up, it's like I'm not wearing any cream at all. Not oily or messy. No feeling of been smeared in some kind of grease.

After using it a couple of weeks, I noticed that my skin didn't had any breakouts or clogged pores as promised. This is very nice for me since I'm very prone to acne. I start using it daily, as part of my routine before going out of the house. As you can see on the picture below, after applying a thin layer of the sunblock over my face and neck, and letting it dry, you can't notice I'm wearing sunblock.

Add to that the fact that my makeup won't get ruined or will look greasy. Actually, my makeup will last as long as usual. Judging by the pictures bellow, can you tell I'm wearing sunblock under my makeup?

The principal benefits that Coppertone Clearly Sheer have brought into my life are:
  • Now I'm wearing sunblock everyday when I get out of the house, it doesn't matter if I'm going to be only 5 minutes in the backyard, because having to use it is not a burden anymore.
  • Now I enjoy the beach even more because I feel comfortable, fresh and clean.
  • I'm protecting my skin from the UV rays that are stronger in the Caribbean, hopefully keeping it looking younger a bit longer.
  • When I Bzz around about Coppertone Clearly Sheer, I'm also helping to protect the skin of family, friends and even strangers.
  • I can finally get a suntan that won't harm my skin, like it used to happen with other sunblocks.

So if you still are thinking about trying Coppertone Clearly Sheer, remember:

  • it absorbs in seconds for a clean and light feel
  • the moisturizing formulas are designed to help leave your skin soft and smooth
  • since it was clinically tested on acne- prone skin, it won't clog your pores or cause breakouts
  • and the matte finish is perfect for use under your makeup

Overall, my opinion is very positive and for sure I will continue using Coppertone Clearly Sheer. Don't think it twice and give it a chance. Also don't forget about visiting BzzAgent and become a member so you can also participate in this fabulous campaigns!

Coppertone Clearly Sheer: A new sunblock that will change the way you enjoy the sun!

I recently discovered a website where you can become a member, and after answering a few surveys, you get the opportunity to try new products for free. Every time you get chosen for a campaign, you are sent a sample or full sized product and some coupons to share, in exchange of your honest opinion and another few fun activities. This website is called BzzAgent and if you are too curious already, don't forget to join as soon as you finish reading this!

In this occasion, BzzAgent asked me to join their Coppertone Clearly Sheer campaign. At first I was a little ambiguous about joining, since I never been a fan of wearing sunblock constantly. The main reasons why I usually dislike sunblocks is because of the smell and the oily feeling they leave on my skin.

Smelling the sunblock was the first thing I did as soon as I received my BzzKit. As advertised, the Coppertone Clearly Sheer for sunny days, has a gentle fresh citrus scent that gets masked easily with your perfume. It's not like you really need to mask the smell, but if you wanted to, it will be very easy to do. On the other hand, the Coppertone Clearly Sheer for beach and pool, has a subtle tropical fruit and flower fragrance, that actually makes you forget that you are at the beach. This is something that I find pretty innovative, since most of the other sunblocks available in the market have this strong smell that always resemble that typical beach smell.
Another feature that this sunblock offers is that it gets quickly absorbed by your skin, making you feel light and fresh. Forget about feeling greasy! It leaves my skin so smooth and soft, that I easily can keep going for hours without having the urge of getting a shower as soon as possible because I feel all smeared in oil.

Since I'm very prone to acne, I find it a plus that it was clinically tested to guarantee that it won't cause breakouts or clog pores. So far in the time I've been using it, my skin has been tolerating it quite well. No pimples so far!

Another extra is that you can easily wear it under your makeup and it will mask perfectly, without ruining your look and helping protecting your skin from the UV rays.

One of the things I enjoy the most about this sunblock is that I can get a light suntan without getting sunburned. Other sunblocks that I have tried in the past, will wash off with the water and I would end sunburned and hurting for a few days, red as a shrimp and regretting all the hours I spent under the sun.

Above is a picture of my nice suntan and remember, if you are still looking for an effective and light sunblock, Coppertone Clearly Sheer is your best option. Also don't forget to check out BzzAgent webpage!

A new journey

The first time I read about saving money with manufacturer coupons was over a year ago. At first, the idea was nice but I didn't pay too much attention to it. I don't remember well, but I believe that around November 2013, I finally decided to give it a break. Must say that after around 6 months, I'm totally addicted to using coupons. And don't take it the wrong way, I don't go after every deal published or using every single coupon that I find. That's the magic and the trick of this. If you go insane, buying just because, you are not really saving anything. You become a compulsive buyer if you don't know where to stop.

I'll give you an example. Around March, Walgreens Puerto Rico made a fabulous deal with Pantene hair  products. They had on sale 3 Pantene hair products for $10.00. When buying them, Walgreens gave you $5.00 back in a Register Rewards (a coupon you can use in a next purchase on any qualifying product) and 1,000 points to your card which equals to $1.00. Also P&G, which is the manufacturer, published this coupon of $5.00 off when buying 3 hair products.

So, for every 3 Pantene shampoos or conditioners, I had to pay $10.00. But since I had the $5.00 dollar off coupon, then I paid $5.70 (tax included) for every transaction I did. But remember Walgreens gave me $5.00 dollars back in a coupon and $1.00 back in their Register Rewards Card Program. So at the end I got the Pantenes for free and ended with $.30 money maker in every transaction (that's how is called in the couponing world).

After 10 transaction, and having 30 Pantenes products, I stopped. Why so many you might ask yourself, well P&G also launched a rebate offer of $15.00 back in a prepaid Visa Card, when sending them proof of spending $50.00 dollars or more in their qualifying products. So not only I got my Pantenes for free with a bit earning, they also sent me $15.00 back. I used that Visa Card to buy a new frying pan that was on clearance in K-Mart. So I ended with a stock of 30 Pantenes and a frying pan FOR FREE! The $50.00 I got back in the Register Rewards Coupons were used to buy some food that was on sale at Walgreens and that I had also coupons for them. Also got some body wash for women. Of course my mom got a few of them!

Now comes the part where I say you need to learn where to stop. Since I have shampoo and hair conditioner for probably a year, there's no need for me to go buy anymore. But I have seen people in couponing blogs and Facebook pages, going crazy buying Pantenes just because P&G published again the coupon at the end of April. And I'm asking myself, is really needed to buy more? I mean I try not to judge, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that did this awesome deal in Walgreens on March. Also, the deal wasn't that awesome either this time.

Well, this is my first time blogging and this is my very first entry. Hope you enjoy it and maybe got you a little interested in couponing. I'll be writing a bit about my experience, but please keep in mind that I don't consider myself an extreme couponer and what I buy is because I really need/use it!
